SL-100 Solid-State Preamplifier

The SL-100 solid-state preamplifier was designed as Cary Audio’s entry point into high-performance preamplification, yet its sound quality and construction far exceed what its original position in the lineup might suggest. Though solid-state in design, the SL-100 is voiced with a distinctly tube-like character, delivering a rich, engaging midrange, smooth highs, and a warm, authoritative bass without sacrificing detail or transparency.

Internally, the SL-100 features a true dual-mono layout with separate power supplies for each channel, an uncommon design approach in its class that contributes to its musical clarity and channel separation. Connectivity includes four RCA inputs, one balanced XLR input, a Home Theater Bypass, and three sets of outputs (two RCA and one XLR), making system integration simple and flexible.
